Malayalam actress Pearle Maaney makes her debut in Bollywood with Anurag Basu’s film

Pearle Maaney, who shot to fame after her stint in Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 1, is making her Bollywood debut. The actress is playing a supporting role in Anurag Basu’s film which has Abhishek Bachchan in the lead role.

Speaking to The Time Of India, Pearle revealed how she got the film offer. She said, “They (makers) spoke to my dad and soon after I got out of Bigg Boss, my dad told me that I got a call from Anurag sir. I felt it was a dream, as I was still coming to terms with the outside world after being inside the Bigg Boss studio for 100 days.”

Pearle also talked about working with Abhishek Bachchan. She said Abhishek is a chilled-out person and he is very down to earth -” He used to call me ‘chachi’, which is aunty in Hindi; I kept correcting it to ‘chechi’ (sister).”

Other than Abhishek, the film also stars many other popular actors like Pankaj Tripathi, Aditya Roy Kapur, Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra.

Pearle, who started her career as video jockey hosting popular shows, made her acting debut in 2013 with the film Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi. She has acted in films like Kappiri Thuruthu and Pretham.

Pearle is currently on a break from the shooting and she will soon join the sets in Goa. The next schedule of the film is set to take place in August.
