1. Deepika Padukone: Highest-earning Bollywood actress 

According to the data available on the official website of Guinness World Records, Deepika is the current highest paid actress in Bollywood. Her earning between October 1, 2017, and September 30, 2018, is an estimated to be Rs 112.8 crore.

2. Sameer Anjaan: Most prolific Bollywood lyricist

Sameer who has written the lyrics of 3,524 songs that appeared in 650 Bollywood movies got this title on 2015. His first song appeared in the movie Be-Khabar (1983).

3. Sonakshi Sinha: Most people painting their fingernails simultaneously

Back in 2016, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, Sonakshi along with other 1,327 women made a world record for most people painting their fingernails simultaneously. The record they broke was of 1,156 people painting their fingernails simultaneously.

4. PK: Highest-grossing Bollywood film at the global box office

In 2015, this fantasy drama starring Aamir Khan became the most successful Indian film of all-time with a total worldwide gross of 6.22 billion INR. Helmed by Rajkumar Hirani, PK also starred Anushka Sharma and Sushant Singh Rajput in key roles.

5. Baahubali: The Beginning: Largest poster

In 2015, SS Rajamouli’s Bahubali: The Beginning starring Prabhas broke the Guinness World Record for making the largest poster of more than 50,000 sq ft.

6. Kapoor extended family: Largest screen family

24 members of the Kapoor extended family have acted in films since Prithviraj Kapoor first stepped foot in the industry in 1929. He was followed into acting by his three sons, Raj, Shammi and Shashi and other relatives. Other famous relatives through marriage include megastar Amitabh Bachchan, directors Ramesh Sippy and Manmohan Desai. Ranbir Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor are the grand-children of Prithviraj Kapoor. The Kapoor family has been in the record book since 1999.

7. Paidi Jairaj – Longest Bollywood career (actor)

Late actor Paidi Jairaj made his debut in 1929 and has had an acting career spanning 70 years. He had acted in more than 300 films.

8. Love and God (Qais aur Laila): Longest production of a Bollywood film 

Love and God (Qais aur Laila) (1986) took more than 20 years to make after running into a series of difficulties, including the deaths of lead actor Guru Dutt in 1964 and director K. Asif in 1971. The incomplete film was finally released in 1986, with Sanjeev Kumar taking over the lead role.

9. Lalita Pawar – Bollywood actress with the longest film career

Late actress Lalita Pawar had acted continuously for 70 years. She made her debut at the age of 12 and appeared in more than 700 films.

10. Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai: Most Number of Awards For a Movie

Starring Hrithik Roshan and Ameesha Patel, this romantic drama won a total of 92 awards and was added to the Guinness Book of World Records in their 2002 edition.
